Soft Pastel on sanded paper. Northlight Beach: this is my very favorite isolated beach on Grand Island in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore park. It can only easily be reached by landing a boat on the beach. The striations in the sandstone lead to it's casual name of "Bacon Sandstone".
